No exaggeration Susan Raychard saved my life! After my husband received the devastating diagnosis of Alzheimer’s, I was totally depressed, afraid and totally lost. I had no idea what to do or where to go. Then I met Susan. She helped, educated and guided both my husband and me in a kind and knowledgeable way that greatly lighten our burden as we dealt with the realities of Alzheimer’s. And she has stayed with us throughout our journey. She is just the absolute best!

Susan Raychard, a very special OT who specializes in dementia. Susan came weekly, spent time with Judy and became my guru (which she still is). She rounded up additional caregivers and showed them how to care for Judy. From Susan, I learned what relief meant and how I could spend my time more productively.
Susan also gave me a copy of Teepa Snow’s book (DEMENTIA CAREGIVER GUIDE), which has helped me in writing this letter. It’s been an invaluable guidebook for seeing the unique and precious moments within dementia’s progression. It helped me to let go of what is missing in Judy while learning to use and enjoy what remains, to make life worth living until the end of the journey.

Susan Raychard is a uniquely qualified top level care provider & family resource we were fortunate to discover during my parent’s dementia journey.
She was very skilled at helping coordinate care, work with various medical providers, educate family on understanding my parent’s strengths and areas of challenge, to name a few, and did so with grace, patience, and kindness.
She treated both my parents with compassion in the dementia process and became an invaluable family resource.
Susan was able to bridge better support and care with new strategies and tools as needs changed and did so with a well spring of deep patience and compassion, while building a bond of trust with my parents; disease sufferer and primary caregiver.
It’s easy to become overwhelmed by this disease. Susan helped show family members how to better work with our parent’s strengths without focusing only on the losses.
In our layered journey, Susan was among the brightest lights we found.
She offers grace, dignity and deep commitment to helping families persevere through a devastating disease.
I offer Susan my highest recommendation as a highly skilled dementia care provider and educator. We need more professionals like her.

Susan was the best thing to happen to our household while caring for my aunt with dementia.
Not only is Susan knowledgeable, she is kind, compassionate and loving. My aunt always looked forward to her sessions with Susan and we (my husband and I) also benefited from her visits. Susan was never pushy and worked with my aunt at her ability level and gave her confidence. She also provided many useful tips to us as caregivers and always provided a listening ear.
Along with her own expertise she has many connections in the community and is willing to share those contacts. She then worked jointly with the referred person to provide the best care for the patient/household.
I would highly recommend Susan!
